BOOK RELEATED MISTAKES
1. In the film Louis (Brad Pitt) has brown hair, but as we all know in the book he has black hair.
(Explanation: - Maybe the director didn't want two of the main characters (Louis, Armand) to have black hair as the general audience might get confused?)
2. How does Lestat fly when he is drinking from Louis for the first time? As we all know he didn't get that gift until the near end of The Queen Of The Damned. Also related to this is near the end of the movie when Louis is holding up Daniel Malloy to the ceiling how is this when Louis didn't get the power of flight until, the book Merrick.
3. After Louis killed the slave girl and was taking her body out to the other slaves the doors magically opened without Louis lifting a finger! How is this possible when Louis hasn't got a strong enough telekinetic mind that could do such a thing, he doesn't have this power until Merrick.
4. The very talented Kirsten Dunst who plays Claudia was twelve years of age when she filmed Interview With The Vampire. But my point is in the books Claudia is only six years of age and not twelve as Kirsten was.
(Explanation: - Claudia's character is quite a powerful character and it needed a talented actress to convey her emotions like in the book actually the director insisted on this. And therefore a six year old girl could have never been able to play Claudia convincingly as well as Kirsten did.)
5. Antonio Banderas as we all know played Armand but the fact is he seemed to play a lot older then seventeen years of age as this is the age of Armand when he was turned.
6. During the scenes when Louis is crying he cries normal tears when in fact in the books vampires only cry blood tears.
MOVIE MISTAKES
1. If the barmaid was dead then why did she blink when Lestat dropped a few coins on the table?
2. When Lestat bites the rat and pours the blood into a glass he squeezes the blood into a glass when in fact gravity would dictate that the blood would have flown from its neck down to its take and into the glass therefore there was no need for him to do this.
3. If you look closely enough you will see there are four grapes near Louis but in the scene that follows there are only two.
4. During my favorite scene of this movie when Lestat throws the lid of his coffin to the floor and puts the woman in his coffin. There’s nothing wrong here except for the fact that he slides the top of his coffin over it when in fact he would have needed to go and get it i.e. giving the woman a change to get out of the coffin and not making it so easy for Lestat to enclose her in it.
5. After Claudia cuts her hair and then throws the scissors to the ground and goes into her room, she reemerges with the scissors in her hand again.
6. During the scene when Santiago is dancing upside down in a Paris Archway his cloak defies gravity by not going over his head and toward the road.
7. During the performance at the Theatre des Vampires when there stripping her poor woman down her top comes undone but a few seconds later it is redone up and a vampire has to undo it.
8. Technically the moon nor the sun could be directly above Paris and therefore have direct sunlight on the well when in fact it would have been more indirect sunlight that would have penetrated the well where Claudia and Madeleine where.
9. How is it possible that Lestat can drive when he hasn't ventured out in the world for along time?
(Explanation: - Vampires are quick learners, and therefore he just copied Daniel's movements when he was driving.)
