BOOK RELATED MISTAKES
1. You will probably all have noticed that Lestat hasn't got blond hair or blue eyes in this film and has brown hair and brown eyes.
(Explanation: - Supposedly the director did get Stuart Townsend to try different wigs on but they all looked stupid on him.)
2. Paul McGann who plays one of my favorite characters David Talbot is too young to play him as well all know he is a lot older then that I think he is in his late 70s.
3. Marius wasn't actually Lestat's maker, Magnus was. Lestat didn't meet Marius for another ten years after he was made.
4. Also dealing with Marius, Marius should have had long hair and it should have been blond.
(Explanation: - Supposedly the same explanation that was set to explain Stuart Townsend: Lestat)
5. How can Lestat fly yet? He does get this power until near the end of The Queen Of The Damned.
6. This mistake gives me the impression that the director hasn't read any of the books as to giving Khayman blond hair when it should be black and giving Mael black hair when it should be blond. Also Armand has blond hair in this film what is that all about.
(Explanation: - My reasoning for this is that they got Mael and Khayman mixed up and they thought that Armand was blond from the cover of The Vampire Armand. Well that's all I can think of.)
MOVIE MISTAKES
1. During the music videos "Redeemer, Forsaken, and System" Lestat has short hair when it should be long.
(Explanation:- Either he had gel in his hair or they refer to the novels which states that you can cut your hair short but it will fully grown by the next night. But this leads to the question, why didn't Claudia's hair stay short for a day?)
2. When Lestat is climbing the wall and then onto the ceiling his hair and clothes stay perfectly still. How can this be as gravity would dictate that his hair should be in the direction of the floor and not the ceiling where he is?
3. During the scene where Jesse is working and in the background we can hear "Redeemer" playing and it has the following lyrics "Take a walk down the aisle at the end of the mile. Give the life to my charms at the Admiral's Arms." If you then go and check out the music video on the DVD you'll notice this lyrics don't appear on the video.
4. During a scene when Jesse is asking Lestat if the woman is okay. He has blood all over his mouth without biting her or anyone else.
(Explanation: - most likely it was an effect to be produced after him killing the woman in front of Jesse.)
5. When Lestat goes out into the sun outside the mansion where Akasha had brought Lestat. If you look really closely maybe even zoom in on it if you have a DVD player with this feature near the small statue of a person on the left of this statue you can see a car headlight.
