HISTORY
Lestat with born in Auvergne, France. Seventh son to Marquis and Gabrielle de Lioncourt. He was sent to a monastery to gain an education, but his father intervened when he learned that Lestat wanted to become a priest, so Lestat was brought kicking and screaming home to the Lioncourt Castle. When he reached the tender age of sixteen he tried to runaway from home with a group of Italian actors. But yet again his father demanded that his brothers go and bring him back to the castle. At the age of twenty his village was becoming considerably more aware of wolf problem, Lestat with his horse, dogs, and weaponry went out to find these wolfs by himself. He returned victorious and gained the name "Wolfkiller". The villagers rejoiced and this is where he meets his best friend-to-be Nicolas de Lenfent. It's a note to point out that when Lestat was mortal he was illiterate.
Gabrielle "Lestat's mother" was aware of her sons’ distress that he couldn't choose his own path in life give him processions of her own and to take off to Paris with his friend Nicki. Under the condition that he gets someone to write letters to her telling her how he is doing, and the letters needed to be in Italian so no one except she could read them.
Lestat soon got a job at Renaud's House of Thespians under the assumed name of Lestat de Valois. Lestat loved the theatre and loved to perform in front of people and he got highly acclaimed by his fellow thespians. Unfortunately his performances got the attention of other creatures that you wouldn't desire to know, for example the vampire Magnus.
In a horrific kidnapping Magnus took Lestat to his tower where he forced Lestat to take the dark gift therefore condemning Lestat to damnation. After teaching Lestat the basics about being a vampire, Magnus committed suicide and left Lestat with a fortune, a tower, and many unanswered questions. With this fortune he bought Renaud's theatre from him. Soon after Lestat's mother came to Paris unaware of Lestat's change to bid farewell to her son as she was going to die. Lestat full of grief by this news rushes to her side and offers her the dark gift. Which she accepts and becomes Lestat's fledgling. Opposed to this is a Coven called les innocent a group of vampires that worship the devil and led by Armand put both Lestat and Gabrielle on trail for the crimes of Magnus. But Lestat shows many of them that being immortal isn't about worshipping the Devil but more about doing what you want. This sends shockwaves through the Coven and eventually breaks the Coven up. Armand goes crazy and kills most of his Coven off, and the love hate relationship between Lestat and Armand begins. Lestat also finds Nicki being held hostage here also. Lestat and Gabrielle take Nicki back to their lair. Lestat decides to turn Nicki into a vampire. But Nicki becomes very troubled after the dark gift is given and learns to hate Lestat for what he had done to him. After a short while Lestat and Gabrielle decide to leave and Nicki tells them that he isn't going and that he wants Renaud's theatre. Lestat saddened by this grants his request and hands over the keys to Nicki who calls the theatre the Theatre des Vampires, where Armand is put in charge. Both Lestat and Gabrielle leave Paris.
For ten years Lestat and Gabrielle traveled Europe, Asia Minor, and Egypt, he leaves little messages about for the vampire Marius. Lestat learns that Gabrielle is hiding letters from him and is furious with her and tells her to get out and to never bother him again. After reading the letters Lestat discovers that his family has been wiped-out by the French Revolution. Gabrielle makes up with Lestat but leaves Lestat when she discovers that he is planning to go to New Orleans to look after his father. Lestat completely distraught with his families’ death, the suicide of Nicki, and the departure of Gabrielle leaves him into entering his first sleep. This is unsuccessful though has Marius shows up before he can go.
Marius takes him to his home and tells the story of Those Who Must be kept and Lestat has his first taste of Akasha blood. Lestat leaves Marius home after Enkil is enraged by Lestat's presence.
Lestat travels to New Orleans where he finds his father and meets Louis de Pointe du Lac and eventually turns him into a vampire. Together they look after Lestat's father until his death and the slave revolt. After Louis' encounter with Claudia, Lestat goes in search for her and turns her into a vampire and she becomes a devoted fledgling and daughter to Lestat and Louis. Claudia tries to kill Lestat and she and Louis take off after setting Lestat on fire.
Lestat travels back to Paris where he looks a upon the Theatre des Vampires and tells them of what happened and that justice must be performed on Claudia but not Louis. The theatre betrays Lestat and Lestat goes to Magnus tower where he finds Armand. Armand hurts Lestat by throwing him out of the window. All of Lestat's bones break. After two years resting he returns to New Orleans.
He takes up residents at an old home where he remains there until he goes into the ground for a long sleep this was from 1929 until 1984 (in Queen of The Damned motion picture its from 1902 - 2002).
After he reawakens Lestat reads "Interview With The Vampire" and furious with the lies in this book decides to tell his biography and launch a rock band called "The Vampire Lestat". Louis and Gabrielle show up to tries and unconvinced him that this is a wrong idea. After being captured by Akasha she takes him places and feeds her blood to him until he watches her die. After a short period he writes the book "The Queen Of The Damned" and makes a mortal friend in David Talbot from the Talamasca. Lestat finds his powers have rapidly increased from being a 200+ vampire but with the powers of a 6000+ vampire. Lestat tries to commit suicide but finds he cannot be killed by the sun only severely burnt, also during 1990 Lestat meets a man called Raglan James who claims he can switch bodies with him and he offers his body to Lestat for a short period for the price of $10.000 dollars. A deal that David Talbot and Louis tells Lestat to avoid. Lestat doesn't take any notice but does give Mr. James an extra $10.000 giving total of $20.000. They both switch bodies. After the borrowing period ends Raglan James doesn't return and Lestat realizes that he had no intention of returning with his body. Lestat becomes very ill and is rushed into hospital where the ghost of Claudia is mocking him and telling him that he's going to die and basically being quite awful to him. Luckily a nun called Gretchen is on some sort of break from her perish and helps him to get better. In return he gives her what she wants to know what it is like to have carnal pleasures. He promises Gretchen to return to her as soon as he gets his body back, she thinking he is a little crazy agrees with him. Lestat sets out to New Orleans to seek the help of Louis, basically asking Louis to turn him into a vampire. Louis denies his request and leaves Lestat alone. Lestat angered by this destroys Louis lair. So Lestat seeks out David who agrees to help him and David teaches him a few mind tricks that will not allow Mr. James to know that they are there. Lestat gets his body back and runs on the request of David. Later David who isn't David asks for the dark gift and Lestat begins to drink from David and realizes that it isn't David and actually Raglan James accidentally in a fit of rage kills David's body. Lestat full of grief by this goes in search for David and finds him in the body of the man he processed during this adventure and they both go to the hospital and discover that he is dead. Lestat goes to Gretchen as promised and due to the visit makes Gretchen go insane, he leaves her never to see her again. Lestat returns to New Orleans to pay a visit on Louis to let him know that he's got his body back and that he's quite ticked off for not helping him but to also see how the restoring of the Rue Royale is going. He then pays a visit to David and brutally turns David into a vampire. In 1995 Lestat is in New York following an evildoer around and after he kills him he is visit by his ghost who tells him that he needs to help his daughter Dora. Lestat pays Dora a visit but is soon comes up against no other then the Devil himself, Memnoch, who shows him Heaven and Hell and asks that he become his Lt. Lestat drinks from Christ and is given a Vail with Christ face on it. He declines the offer to become Memnoch's Lt and is chased out of hell losing his eye in the process. Lestat returns and tells his tale to Armand, Dora, and David. Dora snatches the Vail from Lestat and shows the world the Vail. While Lestat's mental state is in doubt. Dora kind of restores people faith in God and Memnoch sends Lestat a package with his eye in it and Lestat restores his eye to it's rightful place and on a note he thanks Lestat for his assistance. Maharet chains Lestat up until he is of right mind in Dora's tower. Where he sleeps...
He awakes for short periods where he pays a visit to Armand about Sybelle's music and later on when he needs to save Louis from death after being in the sun, he decided to return for good. Lestat and his Coven "The Coven of Articulate" are ordered to leave New Orleans by the Talamasca after Merrick is turned into a vampire by Louis. Lestat puts a stern warning out and tells vampires to stay away from New Orleans then he and his coven leave. Few years later a vampire called Tarquin Blackwood asks for help with his little problem with a ghost called Goblin and Lestat listens to his story and helps him with the assistance of Merrick. He then does for the sake of Quinn turns Quinn's mortal girlfriend who is dying into a vampire.
After turning Mona Mayfair into a vampire Lestat is attacked by Julien Mayfair for his dark deed and Julian curses Lestat and tells him that he will never leave him alone until he drives him to madness. Lestat is not worried by this tells the spirit to leave his presents at once. Lestat endeavors to make Mona into the best vampire he has ever seen but unfortunately Mona is distracted by other things. Lestat meets Rowan Mayfair for the first time and is quite taken by her. Lestat, Mona, and Quinn track down a couple of vampires that have been killing innocent people in New Orleans discovering a whole bunch of children their all being beating and feeding of the children. Lestat learns that their did it to worship him as he had done with Claudia angered by this he orders Quinn and Mona to kill them both which they do without bother, after Quinn and Mona finish bleeding them he with assistance from Mona and Quinn carries the vampire bodies into the bathroom and places them in the bath tub where he burns them to the shock of Mona. After Rowan and Michael track Mona down to the Rue Royale Lestat is wrapped up the Mayfair secret about the Taltos realizing this is the cause for post of the pain Mona feels decides to lend a hand to find Mona's lost woman/child. Lestat sends out a telepathic message to Maharet asking her for the location of the ancient species known as the Taltos for his knew fledgling Mona. After a massive argument about what Mona was wearing and his previous encounters with Gabriel and Claudia he banishes Mona from his home and calls her ungrateful slut who would be dead if it wasn't for him. Mona flees in terror as she fears that Lestat may burn her. Mona apologizes for her behavior to Lestat and begs for his forgiveness which Lestat grants. Lestat is asked by a terrified Jasmine to release the spirit of Quinn's mother Patsy as she is haunting her by coming to her window and tapping on the window covered in swamp mess and speaking "Jasmine, Jasmine" Lestat promises to deal with the problem and he comes upon Patsy and sets her free from the world and onto the next life. Jasmine is so overjoyed that she makes him totally welcome at Blackwood Farm. Lestat sends the plea message twice to Maharet and is about to send it a third time when he received an email from Maharet telling him the location and that he should learn the ability to email people. The next night Lestat, Mona, and Quinn head of to Private Isle, St. Ponticus southeast of Haiti where they find a group of drug dealers Lestat and the others kill them and make their way to a room where they find Oberon Taltos a descendent of Ash and Morrigan (Mona's daughter). After killing all the evildoer's the three remaining Taltos are sent to Mayfair Medical. After visiting the Taltos Lestat comes across Julien where a battle ensues and Lestat tries to send Julien to where ever he is supposed to go. It doesn't work but he does leave him alone. Back at Blackwood Farm he discovers that Mona and Quinn have left with Khayman to go and see Maharet, Lestat feels that he has failed yet another fledgling and goes outside where he is met by Rowan Mayfair who asks for the dark gift he tells her that she has too much to live for, too much to complete in life before he could ever give her the dark gift. She leaves knowing that Lestat loves her and that one day he will give her the dark gift. Afraid to show him self he sends Stella Mayfair to tell him that what he said was "That was superb!" Lestat is left alone with his thoughts.
