HISTORY
Mael was a Druid priest that was sent by the blood god to find someone who was well educated to replace the dying blood god. Mael found a man called Marius de Romanus, he kidnapped him and took him to his home where he taught him all the Druid knowledge and allowed his hair to grow long so he was ready to replace the God of the Grove. Unfortunately Marius escapes after receiving the blood and the blood god dies.
Mael traveled to England to ask the Druids there if he could seek council with their blood god and ask for the dark gift so he can become the God of the Grove. The blood god admits him and does give him the blood under the condition that he gets him out of there. Mael does and him and the blood god escape, Mael decides not to return to the Druid church and becomes companion to Avicus the blood god he helped escape.
Eventually Mael found Marius and they hated each other at first but a bond between the two was created after Mael is critically injured. The three of them become companions and also keepers of Those Who Must Be Kept. After awhile Marius leaves the two and goes off on his own but first requests that Mael and Avicus look after Zenobia. Mael reluctantly agrees. After awhile Avicus and Zenobia leave Mael and Mael wonders alone.
He later becomes the companion of Maharet and makes Thorne jealous and Throne leave.
He helped to keep Jesse alive until Maharet could get to her. He was also there to bear witness to the destruction of Akasha. He was later spotted entering the daylight to see if he could see god after Lestat adventure.
