Suzanne Mayfair
-The First Witch-
The beginning, the first, Suzanne Mayfair was the first to call forth the Taltos spirit Lasher and the beginning of the line of witches that would make Lasher flesh again and doom us all! Suzanne by trade was a midwife who helped to heal the good people of Donnelaith. Her only family was a daughter called Deborah Mayfair, Suzanne was the most beautiful woman in Donnelaith and a lot of people who didn't really know her knew that she was famous for her looks. That was mainly the reason that the town's folk thought of Deborah as a merry-begot, which means a child of the gods.
During a passing visit to get a cut on his hand healed a witch judge visited Suzanne and stayed the night. Suzanne thought him to be very clever man and he insisted that she heed is warning about evil and the witch judge showed her a big black book of black magic called the "Demonolgie" and due to the fact that she could not read he read it too her. The witch judge taught her all the thing that witches could do and have done while constantly warning her that she had to be careful or "lest the devil tempt you, for the devil loves the midwife and the cunning woman."
A few years past and with her daughter Deborah Mayfair at her side she went out to the field and performed a ritual that brought forth a spirit that she called Lasher. Lasher was always the faithful servant to Suzanne and brought her gold, told her of the village's people's treachery and he sought to punish people that wronged Suzanne.
After an argument between Suzanne and a milkmaid, Suzanne cursed the milkmaid. Lasher without permission from Suzanne took it upon himself to rain hail upon her therefore killing her. Due to Suzanne's inability to control Lasher her magic became quite prominent to all villagers which eventually led to her downfall which started a chain reaction that led to her being burnt and the stake.
