PLOT
After six thousand years of horrifying stillness, Akasha, mother of all vampires and Queen of the Damned, has risen from her sleep to let loose the powers of the night.
But her monstrous plan for ruling the worlds of the living and the undead must be stopped before she destroys mankind. And it falls to the evil vampire Lestat to fight her all-encompassing evil - for it is he who challenged her power by waking her from sleep.

CRAIG'S REVIEW
The Queen Of The Damned brings back long loved characters such as Lestat, Louis, Gabrielle, Armand, Daniel, and even Claudia! It also brings in a lot of new characters and it is interesting to see them interact with each other. It is well paced and will make you want more installments.
The book is great, it has a few flaws but that isn't really the point it is well conceived and it just gives further justification that Anne Rice is justified to be compared to such authors as Bram Stoker and Stephen King.
Years from now you will find your children wanting to read these books as Rice books will become classics for all time. This book should have never been made into a movie though.
