CRAIG'S REVIEW

This film is highly underrated by lots of fans and critics alike.  This is the long awaited sequel to Interview With The Vampire and in my opinion doesn't let the meaning of the book down at all.  Yes I do admit it isn't as good as Interview With The Vampire was but it does do justice to the book.

The soundtrack to this film is great with the talented musicians as Marilyn Manson, David Draiman from Disturbed, Chester Bennington from Linkin Park and also Wayne Static and Jay Gordon from Static-X and Orcy respectively lending the vocal talents to The Vampire Lestat.  The music is far better then it is in the book and the entire album rocks if your into the sought of music.

It has great special effects and vampire's being incinerated is one of my favs.  This film is a good film as I've already pointed out but I do think that the movie is a water down version of The Vampire Lestat in many ways.

The DVD features are amazing the commentary is excellent and gives us the slight hope that The Vampire Lestat might be made into mini tv series, and also points out that The Tale Of The Body Thief could be next to be made into a movie.  It also gives us a documentary on Aailyah who sadly died not to long after finish this movie.  It also has The Vampire Lestat's music videos which are pretty cool and an extended version of the concert scene.  It also has additional scenes and Production Book stills Gallery and not forgetting the gag reel.

I think this film should be given a chance by fans and film fans alike as you should watch it once and make up your own mind.

OTHER PEOPLE'S REVIEWS

I think Queen of the Damned is awesome. I'm really into reading Anne Rice, so I'm glad that they came out with a second movie to follow up Interview With The Vampire. Maybe someday they'll make a third one. Who knows. I think that everyone should see this movie. ~SarahdeLioncourt23

I liked this film for what it was - an MTV horror film. No, it didn't stick to the book, but quite frankly, I got bored of the Vampire Chronicles after QOTD anyway. Yeah, it's rushed, it's simplified...but it's a decent vampire story and more original than most. Don't think about it too hard, just try and enjoy it. ~KalisChainsaw
